Mondo Duplantis, widely regarded as the greatest pole vaulter in history, has set numerous world records, most recently vaulting an astonishing 6.26 meters. However, it turns out that Duplantis is also an impressive sprinter.

During the Zurich leg of the Diamond League, an exhibition 100-meter race was organized, where Duplantis competed against Norwegian star Karsten Warholm, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion in the 400-meter hurdles and Paris 2024 silver medalist.

Duplantis delivered a stunning performance, completing the race in 10.37 seconds, even managing to outrun Warholm. This remarkable display has sparked jokes online that, having already won every conceivable title in pole vaulting, perhaps Duplantis should consider a new athletic pursuit.

For context, the women’s world record for the 100 meters stands at 10.49 seconds.
