Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito discussed his preparations for the crucial matchup with Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League. Tuba Astroturf in Kasoa, Accra, will host the game on Saturday. Zito is still keen on performing well against the reigning champions, despite Dreams FC's difficult season and their current 17th-place standing with just 12 points from 13 games.

During a meeting with reporters before the game, Zito said they need a smart plan to handle Kotoko's strong skills in technique, strength, and tactics. "We saw how Kotoko played against Hearts of Oak. They are very good in all areas - tactics, technique, and physical strength. Therefore, we must devise our own strategy to thwart them before we can subsequently effect change," Zito clarified.

He emphasized how crucial it is to take advantage of counterattack possibilities in addition to stopping Kotoko's attacks. "You're not the only one preventing them. Stopping them and then, I guess, tracking and getting free to play. We have to apply it, track them, and get them free to play," he said.

Dreams FC had a remarkable double over Kotoko last season, winning both encounters without conceding a goal. However, this season has been difficult for Zito's side, securing only two victories so far.

Zito said that Dreams FC must respect the opponents while maintaining emphasis on their own strategy when they take on Kotoko, a top-tier opponent. We know we are playing Kotoko in the game. Thus, it's a crucial game for us," he said.
