Dramatic changes. The goalkeeper of Juventus and Poland shared his plans for the future
The future of Polish national team goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny at Juventus is currently quite uncertain. He remains the team's main goalkeeper, but due to his age, he is increasingly being linked with retirement in the coming years. There is also a high probability that the 34-year-old goalkeeper might transfer to a Saudi Arabian club this summer.
Currently, Szczęsny is with his national team at Euro 2024, preparing for the final group stage match against France. However, between matches, he has already begun contemplating his future after hanging up his gloves.
In an interview with talkSPORT, Szczęsny made a rather unexpected statement. He mentioned that after his career ends, he wants to leave the football world and dedicate himself to real estate development. He is interested in designing and constructing buildings.
"I have a couple of plans. All of them are related to the development business to some extent.
Some involve pure real estate, while others are linked to architecture. I would like these businesses to correlate with each other.
I want to study architecture. Since childhood, I have had a very strange dream.
When I lived on the tenth floor in Grochów, I couldn't see the center of Warsaw. But there was a small window on the stairwell that offered a great view of the Warsaw skyline. Looking out of this window, I thought that I would design a building that would change the city's view.
And this is still relevant. I would like to design it, build it, and sell it.
Of course, it won't happen immediately after I finish my career and build a 150-story building in Warsaw within five years. But my goal is to progress step by step. My projects, both personal and professional, have grown over time.
I have tried to invest more and more into this construction and architectural dream, hoping that one day it will come true.
It may not happen, but the most important thing is to keep taking small steps."
It is worth noting that previously reported plans of Szczęsny's transfer to Al-Nassr have been put in jeopardy.
