A leg injury prevented the Italian tennis star from finishing what he started.

Details: Today in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena, the Australian Open quarterfinal featured a clash between world No. 5 Lorenzo Musetti of Italy and world No. 4 Novak Djokovic of Serbia.

Despite a fierce and uncompromising battle, Musetti took command, claiming the first set 6-4 and the second 6-3. But everything changed dramatically in the third set.

During one of the rallies, Musetti appeared to suffer a minor leg injury, but it turned out to be far more serious than initially thought.

After a medical timeout, Musetti made the tough decision to retire from the match, handing Djokovic a ticket to the semifinals.

In the semifinals, Novak Djokovic will face the winner of Ben Shelton vs. Jannik Sinner.
