DR Congo League to Resume with Return Phase and Playoffs After Key Meeting

The Congolese national football championship will continue as planned. A tripartite meeting between FECOFA, Linafoot, and club representatives in Kinshasa on February 6, 2025, confirmed that the return phase of the season will take place.

Bosco Mwehu, the president of Linafoot’s Management Committee, stated: “The return phase will be played. We now need to finalize the schedule based on current conditions. If we do not finish by May 31, we can request an extension.”

The return phase reportedly takes place between February 15 and March 27, 2025. Following that, the playoffs will begin on April 14 and go until the end of June, with all games taking place in Lubumbashi and Kinshasa.

The formal timetable will be made public on Monday, February 10. The decision guarantees that the league stays on course in spite of previous worries, such as difficulties experienced by teams from the eastern region of the nation.
