DR Congo begins its World Cup training camp
Several players have already joined the camp in Brussels.
The Democratic Republic of Congo national team has begun the final phase of its preparations for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The Leopards have stopped off in Brussels, Belgium, for their training camp before heading to the US.
Sébastien Desabre and his squad will make their final preparations before the tournament kicks off on 11 June. This final phase of the Congolese team’s preparations will feature two international friendly matches. The Leopards will face Denmark and Chile before their opening match at the 2026 World Cup.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo, returning to the competition after a 52-year absence, has no intention of merely making up the numbers in America. In Group K, DR Congo will face Portugal, Uzbekistan and Colombia.
