Atlético Madrid have pulled off one of the most impressive transfers of the summer, bolstering their left flank with a star Spanish defender. The transfer of Alejandro Grimaldo to the Colchoneros is now a done deal.
Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, the Madrid club's management has reached a full agreement with Bayer Leverkusen. Earlier, the 30-year-old player had already given his verbal consent to move to Madrid, and now the clubs have sealed the deal.

If this scenario unfolds, the deal will go beyond the usual football corridors. The Madrid side will pay Leverkusen a fixed compensation fee of €25 million.
Grimaldo has already agreed the terms of a long-term contract with Atlético. The Spaniard will soon arrive at his new club for the mandatory medical examination and official presentation.
