Donald Trump receives signed Portugal national team jersey from Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has reached out to US President Donald Trump, seeking assistance in resolving the escalating conflict in the Middle East. The football superstar signed a Portugal national team jersey with his iconic number seven, which was passed on to Trump by European Council President António Costa during the G7 summit in Canada.
Ronaldo inscribed the shirt with the message, “To President Donald Trump. Playing for peace,” and added his signature.
With this gesture, the Portuguese legend called on the US President to help put an end to the bloodshed in the Middle East, where hostilities between Israel and Iran have flared up once again. However, it’s possible that Ronaldo was referring to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, as fighting in the Gaza Strip continues as well.
It’s also possible that his message was more general, addressing all the conflicts currently raging around the world.
Notably, Trump accepted Ronaldo’s jersey and posed for photos with it in front of the press.
