Scotland and Hungary were in the last match of Group A to determine the team that would keep their chances of qualifying for the Euro 2024 playoffs alive until the final group stage games. To do so, each opponent needed only a win. Hungary managed to win the match thanks to a goal in the 90+10 minute, and the author of the winning goal was Kavin Csoboth, who came on the pitch four minutes before the end of the main time.

However, Csoboth was not the star of the game.

According to Dailysports, the best player of the match was Liverpool and Hungary midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

Szoboszlai, the youngest captain in Euro history, proved that he is rightly the leader of his national team. Dominik worked with the ball almost twice as often as his partners in the attacking line. Szoboszlai has not lost a single ball, one of the highest percentages of accurate passes (75%) and two successful dribbles. The Liverpool player also made 4 key passes - more than anyone else today. At the same time, the Hungarian leader had time to work even in defence and made three selections.

We would like to add that the Hungarian national team finished the group stage in third place in Group A. Its fate at the tournament will depend on the rest of the group stage matches: at the moment, with three points, the team retains a theoretical chance of making the play-offs.
