Barcelona's wonderkid Lamine Yamal has revealed whether he plans to represent the Spanish national team at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

According to the 16-year-old winger, if he participates in the European Championship 2024, he does not plan to take part in the Olympic Games afterward.

"It isn’t logical to go for both, Olympics and EUROs, as it is about not being burdened and playing too much - so it wouldn’t make sense. Pedri is the only one who did that in my memory. But obviously in the end you're playing for Spain, it's a dream. I think it’s more important to be in the EUROs", – quoted Yamal by Mundo Deportivo.

Yamal is the youngest footballer in the history of the Spanish national team. In 6 matches under Luis de la Fuente's guidance, the 16-year-old forward has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists.

At the European Championship 2024, the Spanish national team will face Croatia, Italy, and Albania in the same group.

The Spanish Olympic team will compete against Egypt, the Dominican Republic, and the team that wins the Youth Championship of Asia.
