The legendary Novak Djokovic, currently ranked second in the ATP world rankings, has advanced to the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2024.

In the round of 16 match, the 37-year-old Serbian defeated Danish tennis player Holger Rune in straight sets (6:3, 6:4, 6:2).

Interestingly, this marks Novak's 15th career quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon. With this achievement, he surpasses Jimmy Connors (14). The record for the most quarter-final appearances is held by the legendary Swiss player Roger Federer (18).

In the semi-final, Djokovic will face Alex de Minaur (ATP No. 9). The match is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10.

It is worth noting that the current Wimbledon trophy holder is Carlos Alcaraz.
