Djibril Soumare joins Stoke City

The Senegalese midfielder has signed a three-season contract with the English club.

Djibril Soumare will remain in the Championship following a season-long loan spell at Sheffield United during the 2025–2026 campaign. The 23-year-old Senegalese player has impressed Stoke City, who have persuaded him to join their ranks. Soumare is therefore leaving SC Braga in the Portuguese Primeira Liga for good to move to the Championship.

He has signed a three-season contract with Stoke City, running until 2029. The former Sahel Atlantic player from Senegal will have the opportunity to prove his talent in the English second tier. During his loan spell at Sheffield United last season, Djibril Soumare made 27 appearances.
