Djibril Soumare could join Stoke City
The Senegalese midfielder is expected to sign a three-year deal with the English club.
Loaned by SC Braga to Sheffield United in the summer of 2025, Djibril Soumare has impressed in the Championship. The 23-year-old Senegalese midfielder has delivered convincing performances that have attracted interest. As a result, he is unlikely to return to Portugal.
Championship side Stoke City are on the verge of securing the services of the Senegalese player, who has just completed his loan spell at Sheffield United. SC Braga, Djibril Soumare’s parent club, and Stoke City are reportedly close to reaching an agreement for the player’s transfer. The fee for his move to Stoke City is estimated at €4.5 million, and the player is expected to sign a three-year contract.
If the negotiations are successful, Djibril Soumare will continue his development in England. He is under contract with SC Braga until 2027.
