The adventure in Algeria has ended sooner than expected for Burkinabe striker Djibril Ouattara. After joining JS Kabylie last summer from Raja Casablanca, the 25-year-old has officially left the club after a disappointing performance.

Ouattara, who was brought in because former coach Abdelhak Benchikha insisted on it, didn’t manage to make a difference even though he was given several chances. His performances fell short of expectations, and mounting pressure from fans, coupled with internal disagreements, reportedly contributed to the decision to terminate his contract.

Signed as a promising addition to the squad, Ouattara’s time at JSK never truly took off. His departure comes at a critical time as the club prepares for the second half of the Algerian Ligue 1 season.

According to sources, Ouattara is already drawing interest from a Moroccan club, which might provide him an opportunity to restart his career during the winter transfer window, even though the reasons for the contract termination are still unknown.

Meanwhile, in an effort to bounce back from a difficult start to the season, JS Kabylie will want to bolster their attacking options. This departure demonstrates their continued difficulties with their recruitment approach, as Ouattara's signing was highly contested because of his lackluster earlier performance.
