Spain has received an alarming signal at the worst possible moment.

Details: According to AS, Lamine Yamal did not take part in Spain’s group training session on Thursday in New Jersey. The winger showed signs of fatigue and was feeling the aftereffects of blows sustained in the semifinal, prompting the coaching staff to avoid risking his health ahead of the decisive World Cup match.

At this stage, there is no confirmation of a serious injury. The 19-year-old is expected to be ready for the final, but the medical staff will continue to closely monitor his condition.

In the decisive match, Spain will face Argentina. The reigning world champions booked their place in the final thanks to a gutsy 2-1 victory over England. The showdown is set for Sunday, July 19.

It’s worth noting that Yamal has started in 12 matches at World Cups and European Championships—and Spain has won every single one of them.

Reminder: Impeccable! Lamine Yamal sets a unique record.
