Di María considers retirement: here's where he wants to end his career

Former PSG and Real Madrid winger Ángel Di María has turned 37. For an attacking player, that's a fitting age to start contemplating retirement. Now, it's become clear where he wants to bring down the curtain on his illustrious career.
Details: According to the Portuguese outlet Maisfutebol, after his contract with Benfica expires, Di María plans to return to his boyhood club Rosario Central. He came close to making the move last summer but held off for safety reasons.
Now, though, things are falling into place. The Argentine star has been quietly working on this idea for several months, and it’s clear he’s determined to end his playing days back home.
For the record: Di María played for Benfica from 2007 to 2010, returning to the club in the summer of 2023 after long stints with Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester United, and Juventus. This season, the 37-year-old has racked up 15 goals and 9 assists in 38 matches across all competitions.
