WBC champion in the light welterweight division, Devin Haney, has announced his readiness to change weight classes and move up to the welterweight division.

Quote: "Ultimately, I fought an opponent who was on doping. Fans want to see what Devin Haney is capable of, and on May 2nd, I will answer all the questions.

Obviously, it's time to move up to welterweight. My body is maturing, and making the 140-pound limit is becoming more difficult. In one fight I felt great, but in the next one — much worse," said Devin.

On May 2nd in New York, at Times Square, Haney will step into the ring against Jose Ramirez. The bout could take place either at a catchweight (65.3 kg) or in the full welterweight category with a limit of 66.7 kg.

Reminder: Earlier, Dillian Whyte shared how he sustained an injury before his fight with Joe Joyce.
