Despite Intercontinental Victory, FIFA Blocks Al Ahly's Request for "Champion of Three Continents"

It was a disappointing decision of FIFA against Al Ahly SC for its application to wear a badge that would show the latter as the "Champion of Three Continents" after triumphing in the Intercontinental Cup. Al Ahly became the "Champion of Africa, Asia, and the Pacific" with the 3-0 win over Al Ain FC in the Intercontinental Club Cup 2024.

“Youm7” quoted him as saying that Al Ahly approached FIFA with a request to allow them to put the "Champion of Half the World" or "Champion of Three Continents" emblem on their jerseys, but FIFA refused, noting that it retains exclusive rights in designating any official insignia for clubs, national teams or players.

In related news, Al Ahly will feature in the competition, Doha, on 14th December against the winner of the Americas Derby between Pachuca and the Copa Libertadores champion. The winner will then go ahead to face Real Madrid in the final on 18th December.
