Despite having played for Atlético, Rodri does not rule out a move to Real Madrid
Rodri has been performing for Manchester City in recent seasons, yet there have repeatedly been rumors about a potential transfer to Real, and he has now addressed the matter.
Details: The Spanish midfielder was asked at a press conference about a possible move to Real Madrid. According to Rodri, despite his past with Atlético, he would not turn down Real.
Quote: “The fact that I played for Atlético Madrid does not prevent me from playing for Real. You cannot say no to the best clubs in the world,” Rodri commented.
Rodri was born on June 22, 1996, in Madrid. He began playing football at the small club Rayo Majadahonda, from which he moved to Atlético Madrid’s academy in 2007.
In the 2018/19 season, he featured for Atlético Madrid before completing a move to Manchester City.
At present, Rodri has just one year remaining on his contract with Manchester City. It remains unclear what will happen next.
