Let's go!! Barcelona have opened talks to sign Erling Haaland

Details: According to Topskills Sports UK, representatives of Barcelona have officially started negotiations with Manchester City about the transfer of 25-year-old Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland.

Reports claim that newly elected Barcelona president Joan Laporta is determined to go all out to persuade the Norwegian to leave the Etihad and join Barcelona as early as this summer.

Despite Haaland being tied to City with a long-term contract, he does have a release clause, which could make things easier for Barcelona—provided Laporta can secure the funds to trigger it.

This season, Haaland has played 43 matches for the Citizens, scoring 30 goals and providing 7 assists. His current contract with Manchester City runs until 2034, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €200 million.
