In April 2023, Chelsea's management decided to dismiss manager Graham Potter from his position. However, despite this decision, he continues to receive his salary.

According to the Daily Mail, he is earning £200,000 per week from the club. This arrangement stems from Chelsea's commitment to pay Potter this salary for 18 months following his dismissal, until October 2024. The salary being paid to Potter will be deducted from the outstanding amount owed to Chelsea.

It's worth noting that Potter's appointment as Chelsea's head coach on September 8, 2022, became one of the most expensive managerial appointments in world football, with Chelsea paying Brighton almost €25 million for his services. His tenure with the club saw him manage 31 matches across all competitions (12 wins, 10 losses, 8 draws, with a goal difference of 33:31) and he had the lowest average points per match among all Chelsea managers in history (1.27).

Currently, the new Chelsea manager is Italian specialist Enzo Maresca, who recently discussed his first week at the club and the pressure he faces.
