"Deserved Three Points". Pochettino commented on the eventful draw against Brentford

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino commented on the eventful draw in the match against Brentford (2:2) in the 27th round of the Premier League.

"In the first half we played well, really really well. We controlled the game and we created chances and we didn't concede too much. In the second half they started to play direct and we started to lose in some ways and we conceded when we did.

It was tough for us, we had the chances, you know the chances to score and lead the game and then when we conceded the second, I think we showed character. That is the most important thing, building this character and then we need to put it into context. Three games in six days was tough and not too many changes. The team deserved more but unluckily we did not get the three points.

I'm disappointed that we didn't get the three points but in some points pleased because after the sixth day and the third game, I think the effort was massive. Overall we deserved the three points." said Pochettino.

The aristocrats were on the verge of defeat but salvaged a point thanks to Axel Tuanzebe's goal late in the game.

With 36 points, Chelsea remained in 11th place in the Premier League table. On March 11th, the aristocrats will face Newcastle in London.
