Denver lost its chances of reaching the playoffs of the NBA In-Season Tournament
This year marks the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament in the United States. It's a tournament hosted by the National Basketball Association during the regular season.
Officially announced on July 8, 2023, during the ESPN program "NBA Today," the tournament follows a format similar to European club football tournaments and the WNBA Commissioner's Cup. Each player on the winning team will receive $500,000, and the victorious team will claim a special trophy.
After the latest round of games, Denver has been eliminated from contention for a spot in the playoffs of the NBA In-Season Tournament.
Last night, Denver suffered a defeat against Houston with a score of 86-105. The club lost its mathematical chances for a playoff spot following victories by Phoenix and New Orleans.
Denver concluded the tournament with a 2-2 record, currently holding the third position in Group B in the Western Conference.
All games in the NBA In-Season Tournament, except for the final, count toward the regular championship. The semifinals and final matches will take place in Las Vegas.
