Before the crucial matchup against Milwaukee, Denver announced that Nikola Jokic might miss the game due to a left ankle injury. The Serbian has already missed five games, and although his status was upgraded from "out" to "questionable," he will likely continue his recovery and miss at least one more game.

Denver's head coach Michael Malone stated that Jokic was expected to return during the home series, but he will probably sit out the game against Milwaukee. After that, Denver will face Utah, Minnesota, and San Antonio, and there is hope that Jokic will take the court in those matchups.

Additionally, Milwaukee is also dealing with roster issues. Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable due to a left foot sprain, and Damian Lillard is out indefinitely due to a vein issue. Bobby Portis and Jericho Sims will also be unavailable to support their team.

Currently, Denver holds the third position in the Western Conference with a record of 45-28, while Milwaukee is fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 40-31 standing.
