Defeated cancer. The Borussia defender returned to training

Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Stefan Lainer has resumed training with the main group of players.

The press service of the club’s official website reported this on November 21.

In July it became known that a 31-year-old Austrian was diagnosed with lymphoma at an early stage.

Fortunately, the cancer could be cured and Lainer has already returned to training with Borussia.

"The latest examination results showed that Liner's therapy was successful and the lymph node cancer can be cured. We are very happy and relieved that Stefan has won this fight against the disease," Borussia said in a statement.

Last season, Lainer played 17 matches for Borussia in the Bundesliga, without scoring any goals.
