Chelsea are currently searching for a new centre-back and have turned their attention to Jérémy Jaqué from Rennes. The next step in this transfer saga now lies with the clubs.

Details: According to Sky Sports insider Kaveh Solhekol, Jérémy Jaqué wants to continue his career only at Chelsea. He has already agreed on personal contract terms with the London club. The matter now rests with the clubs, and much could be decided after Saturday’s matches.

The 20-year-old centre-back Jaqué has already played 18 matches across all competitions. He is an important player for Rennes, who are currently sixth in the table and fighting for European qualification.

In other news, English centre-back Levi Colwill has completed a light training session on the pitch. There is also a possibility of seeing Colwill back on the field this season.

Reminder: The transfer of Chelsea’s 27-year-old centre-back Axel Disasi to West Ham is at an advanced stage. It is reported that Disasi will join the Hammers on loan until the end of the season.
