Silva won't be joining Benfica any time soon.

Details: In a recent interview, 31-year-old Manchester City and Portugal attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva addressed a journalist’s question about a potential summer move to Benfica.

Silva didn’t rule out a return to his boyhood club, but made it clear the timing isn’t right:

“I’d love to come back, but at another time… I don’t know if Benfica will still want me by then,” he said live on Canal 11.

Bernardo Silva is a product of Benfica’s academy. He made the tough climb from the club’s youth system to the senior squad of the Eagles, before making a €15 million move from Benfica to Monaco in 2015.

Silva’s current contract with Manchester City expires this summer, and so far there’s been no news of an extension. Transfermarkt currently values Bernardo Silva at €27 million.
