Preparations for a match of this magnitude will be nothing short of monumental.
Details: According to Spanish journalist José Félix Díaz, a meeting was held today at FIFA headquarters where it was officially decided that the final of the 2030 World Cup will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium!
Reports indicate that the Bernabéu emerged as the clear favorite to host the final due to issues faced by its main rival—the Camp Nou. The Catalan stadium is currently undergoing renovations and is dealing with certain documentation challenges, making Real Madrid’s home ground the undisputed frontrunner.
The Casablanca stadium in Morocco was also in contention to host the World Cup final, but FIFA ultimately opted for the European venue.
Reminder: The 2030 World Cup will be hosted by Spain, Morocco, and Portugal, with Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay each staging one match as well.
