Deal close. Liverpool give green light to Núñez transfer

This summer is shaping up to be a period of major squad overhaul for Liverpool. In fact, the process is already underway, but the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold is far from the last move expected.
Details: According to Cadena SER, the Merseyside club has given the green light for striker Darwin Núñez to transfer to Atlético Madrid. Reports indicate that Núñez is eager to join Atlético, and all terms have been discussed with the player, who has given his full consent to the move. The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.
At the same time, Núñez may not be the last player to leave Anfield this summer. Back in April, the club was open to offers for Luis Díaz and Diogo Jota, and in total, Liverpool could bid farewell to as many as nine players.
Reminder: Earlier reports suggested Liverpool are close to signing Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong, as he has already completed his medical with the Reds.
