Danish giants FC Copenhagen are reportedly interested in signing unsettled Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Thapelo Maseko

FC Copenhagen are reportedly interested in signing Thapelo Maseko.

Maseko has been a subject of contractual talks with his club Mamelodi Sundowns having not even gone to Austria for their pre-season which was a clear indication he was unwanted at the team.

But now it has emerged that the Scandinavian giants have made contact with Sundowns over the player's signature.

The left-footed player had an outstanding World Cup with Bafana Bafana and expectation was that he will be an in demand payer.

It was widely reported that clubs from Europe and Saudi Arabia are keen on him but nothing has come out of those links.

He spent last season on loan in Cyprus but Sundowns have made it clear they do not need him.
