Last night, Dallas suffered a defeat in their NBA regular season game against Sacramento, a direct competitor in the playoff race. But that's not the only bad news for the Mavericks.

Details: In the first quarter of the game, Dallas leader Kyrie Irving sustained an injury during his drive to the basket.

Irving took his free throws and then left the court. The club announced that Irving has been diagnosed with a sprained left knee.

This season, Irving has already missed 12 games due to the same injury.

In Irving's place, Dallas turned to Jaden Hardy, but he too was injured during the course of the game. Hardy twisted his ankle and was unable to continue playing.
