NBA 2024/25: play-in matchups, schedule, and results

On the night of April 19, the final two NBA play-in tournament games took place, determining all matchups for the first round of the playoffs.
In the first game, Atlanta, which had previously lost to Orlando, faced Miami, who had beaten Chicago.
In the other game, Memphis hosted Dallas, who had earlier defeated Sacramento. However, the Mavericks were unable to further build on their success — Memphis proved stronger.
As a result, two more NBA first-round playoff matchups were set: Cleveland will face Miami, and Oklahoma will play Memphis.
Play-in format
The team that finishes 9th hosts the team that finishes 10th, and the loser is eliminated. The team that finishes 7th hosts the team that finishes 8th in a double-chance game, with the winner advancing as the 7th seed.
The team that loses the 7/8 series hosts the winner of the 9/10 series, and the winner gets the 8th seed. After this, the regular NBA playoff format resumes as usual, with the start scheduled for Saturday, April 19.
