Cyberattack hits La Liga club! Fans' personal data may be at risk
A La Liga club has found itself dealing with a serious threat far beyond the football pitch.
Details: Levante have officially confirmed that their computer systems were targeted in a cyberattack. The incident was detected on September 30, 2026, during an update to the club's monitoring systems. According to the initial investigation, external attackers may have illegally infiltrated the club's infrastructure, potentially compromising personal information belonging to members, season-ticket holders, players and online store customers.

The potentially affected information includes names, identity document numbers, dates of birth, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers. The club also warned that some records could contain financial information, excluding payment methods, as well as data relating to minors, health information and biometric templates.
However, Levante stressed that there is currently no evidence that any personal information has actually been stolen or used fraudulently. Nevertheless, the club has already blocked affected servers, changed passwords, strengthened authentication procedures and notified the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
The investigation remains ongoing, while supporters have been warned about possible phishing attempts and suspicious messages.
It's worth noting that Levante are scheduled to host Sevilla in La Liga on October 12.
