Spanish defender Marc Cucurella was at the center of a controversial moment involving a non-awarded penalty in the Euro 2024 quarter-final against Germany (2:1).
In extra time, after a shot from Jamal Musiala, the ball struck Cucurella's hand in the penalty area, but referee Anthony Taylor and his team decided not to award a penalty.
"I don't get involved, I respect what the referees say. I understand the doubts, because we see that some are and others are not. We can complain that Kroos could have been sent off.
I was reassured that the referee said nothing. If the experts say it's not a hand, then it's not." said Cucurella after match.
It is worth noting that the Spanish national team has advanced to the Euro 2024 semi-finals, where they will face France.
