Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish has commented on the future of England international defender Marc Guéhi.
"No one has yet reached the valuation of his worth. If you want a superstar player, you have to pay very big money. We're not at the point where we have to make a decision. He's one of the top talents of his generation!" Parish told Sky Sports.
Newcastle has long been linked with the signing of the Crystal Palace center-back. However, the Magpies have started looking for alternatives to strengthen their defense.
This is because Crystal Palace shows little inclination to part with the 24-year-old defender, despite Newcastle submitting their third transfer offer. The Magpies are unwilling to wait much longer, as they need a central defender immediately.
