Crystal Palace believes it can beat Chelsea in the race for Diomande

Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande has been on Chelsea’s radar for quite some time, but the Blues may be facing some unexpected competition.

Details: According to former scout Mick Brown, Crystal Palace views Diomande as a potential replacement for Marc Guéhi, who has long been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park. Reportedly, it’s Eagles’ head coach Oliver Glasner who is trying to convince the player to join his squad.

Crystal Palace scouts have watched him both in the league and in Europe, and they’ve been impressed. If they can persuade him to make the move, especially with European football on the cards, it would be considered a huge coup for them. But as I said, they are confident and see no reason why they can’t bring him in,” Brown told Football Insider.
