"Crossed the line": Former Chelsea player Wayne Bridge withdraws from fight with KSI after personal insults
Former Chelsea and England footballer Wayne Bridge has pulled out of a boxing match with YouTuber KSI, citing personal insults as the reason for his decision. Bridge announced his withdrawal via a statement on his Instagram page.
The highly anticipated bout was scheduled for March 29, 2025. Bridge's decision to cancel stemmed from comments made by KSI, which mocked the infamous scandal involving Bridge's ex-girlfriend and his former Chelsea teammate John Terry.

KSI’s harsh remarks, which ridiculed the situation, deeply offended the retired footballer, leading him to withdraw from the fight and begin searching for a new opponent.
"These are deeply personal comments that affect mine and other families involved in the situation. I'm a family man first and my priority is protecting them. My opponent is someone that many children look up to around the, including my kids. I hope one day he will look back on this differently. I personally don't want to be involved in these exchanges. I will no longer be fighting on March 29," Bridge wrote in his statement.
