Today, the first list of six players who will represent Team Canada at the Olympic Games was revealed.

Details: Hockey Canada has published the names of the first six players that Todd McLellan will take with him to the Winter Olympics.

There was little suspense regarding Sidney Crosby’s participation in the upcoming Olympics—he was the very first name locked into the lineup.

It’s quite possible that this tournament could be the last major event in Crosby’s illustrious career, given his veteran status.

So, here’s the confirmed lineup heading to skate the ice in Milan:

  • Cale Makar
  • Sidney Crosby
  • Connor McDavid
  • Nathan MacKinnon
  • Brayden Point
  • Sam Reinhart

The 2026 Winter Olympics will take place from February 6 to 22 in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, marking the 25th edition of the Winter Games.

Reminder: The International Olympic Committee has extended the suspension of Russia's national hockey team
