Cristiano Ronaldo is now 41 years old, and he has spoken openly about retirement and how he currently views the game of football.
Details: In comments to Canal GOAT, the Portuguese star said the end of his career is drawing closer, which is why he wants to enjoy every match to the fullest.
Quote: "I continue to play not only for this generation, but also for the previous one and the one that will come next. I enjoy it day by day, game by game, year by year, even as I approach the end of my career. That is a fact.
My career has been brilliant, and I want it to remain that way. I still enjoy it, I continue to score goals… but the most important thing is winning. And we truly want to win the league," Ronaldo said.
Notably, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who broke the deadlock in the 76th minute with a hugely important goal for the hosts. It was the Portuguese forward’s 970th career goal. He now needs just 30 more to reach 1,000.
Reminder: Cristiano Ronaldo’s future in Saudi Arabia is hanging by a thread.
