Cristiano Ronaldo could become a co-owner of Almería. The Portuguese star has close ties with the club’s new owner
The future of Cristiano Ronaldo off the pitch is taking on an increasingly intriguing shape. According to MARCA, the Portuguese superstar could join the ownership group of Spanish side Almería.
This opportunity emerged after the club was acquired by the Saudi investment consortium SMC Group, led by Mohamed Al-Khereiji—a figure closely linked to Ronaldo. Given their friendship, Cristiano is being considered as a potential partner for the investment group. Reports suggest he could purchase a stake in the company managing the club or even become its public face.
Ronaldo himself has long been an active investor in various businesses—hotels, clothing brands, cosmetics, sports recovery, technology, and nutrition. His ventures include URSU mineral water, the ERAKULIS fitness app, the Awathletes brand, the CR7Underwear line, and more.
Meanwhile, changes are brewing at Almería, but key figures will remain in place: coach Rubi and his staff will continue through 2027, while the club is still vying for promotion to La Liga via the playoffs.
