They had already shown interest during the previous transfer window and were very close to making an official offer, but the move did not materialise at the time. However, it now seems that Romero will leave Tottenham in June.

In the current season, Cristian Romero has made 27 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions. He has scored six goals and provided four assists.
