Thomas Frank now has more options at the back.

Details: Today, the official social media page of English side Tottenham announced that 19-year-old left-back Souza from Santos has officially joined the Spurs.

The deal is worth 15 million euros, with the contract length to be disclosed at a later date.

The player himself is genuinely thrilled by the move, calling it a major step forward in his career:

"It's an incredible feeling to join such a massive club like Tottenham.

I grew up watching Premier League matches, so this is a childhood dream come true, and I can't wait for the season to start. This is a huge step in my development. The Premier League is very different from what I'm used to in Brazil, but I'm looking forward to the challenge and the chance to be part of the team here." - said Souza.

Souza is a product of the Santos academy, and this transfer marks the first move of his professional career.

This season, Souza has played 29 matches for Santos, scoring once and providing two assists.

According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at 5 million euros.
