Crisis Deepens at CR Belouizdad After Heavy Defeat to Al Ahly
CR Belouizdad is still dealing with the effects of their 6-1 loss to Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League. The big defeat has caused problems inside the team, with midfielder Ishak Boussouf arguing with coach Abdelkader Amrani during practice. Amrani said Boussouf was pretending to be hurt, which made the player ask to leave the team before the winter transfer period.
More trouble came when assistant coach Ezzedine Rahim quit after being replaced by technical coordinator Samir Houhou. Even with these issues, experienced striker Islam Slimani returned to training, giving the team a small hope for improvement.
The club asked fans to come to the stadium for the next game against Al Ahly. "Your support is very important to help us improve," the club said.
CR Belouizdad is in third place in their group with three points, behind Al Ahly and Orlando Pirates. The next game is very important for them to get back on track.
