Crazy prank on Real Madrid fans: they took photos with "Vinícius" – but there was a catch
Spanish sports show El Chiringuito pulled off an amusing prank on Real Madrid fans by staging an appearance of Vinícius Júnior on Gran Vía, one of Madrid’s busiest streets, on Tuesday evening.
Naturally, excited supporters rushed to snap photos with what they believed was their idol. However, there was one small detail they overlooked—the man roaming the streets wasn’t actually Vinícius, but his Colombian lookalike, Ricardo Rincón.
Rincón has gained internet fame for his striking resemblance to the Brazilian star. That’s why El Chiringuito invited him to take part in the social experiment. They dressed him in Vinícius-style clothing and sent him out into the city to see how people would react.
The prank was a huge success—many fans were completely convinced they had met the Real Madrid winger, eagerly asking for photos and autographs.
Later, Rincón appeared on El Chiringuito to discuss how his resemblance to Vinícius has impacted his life. He revealed that even in Bogotá’s airport, people mistook him for the footballer and treated him like a celebrity.
