"He thinks Mbappé is better than me": Cristiano Ronaldo reveals his son's football idol
Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed in an interview with La Sexta that his five-year-old son, Mateo, considers Kylian Mbappé his favorite player—even believing the Frenchman is stronger than his own father.

"My son, Mateo, likes Mbappé a lot. He says, 'Dad he's better than you.' I say, 'Dad is better than Mbappe, I have more goals than him’," Ronaldo shared with a laugh.
The situation is particularly ironic given that Mbappé himself idolized Ronaldo in his youth. As a child, the French star had posters of the Portuguese forward on his walls and dreamed of one day playing for Real Madrid.
Now, Mbappé is following in his idol’s footsteps, having made the long-anticipated move to the Spanish giants. This year, he has already scored 21 goals for Madrid. While he remains far from Ronaldo’s legendary tally of 450 goals in nine seasons with the club, the French forward is just beginning his journey in the iconic white shirt and could one day challenge his hero’s record.
Meanwhile, at nearly 40 years old, Ronaldo continues to find the net in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr. This season, he has already scored 20 goals in the Saudi Pro League.
