Crazy money: Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff to sell his stake in the team
In 2013, Toto Wolff purchased a 33% stake in the Mercedes Formula 1 team, and he is now reportedly ready to sell that share for an eye-watering amount.
Details: According to Sportico, the Austrian executive has entered negotiations to sell his 33% stake, valued at around six billion dollars.
The deal involves a mid-single-digit percentage stake in the team, acquired through investment in Wolff’s holding company.
Despite the sale, Wolff will remain Mercedes’ CEO and team principal.
Reminder: The Sauber team confirmed that Gabriel Bortoleto was unharmed after a terrifying crash during the sprint race at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The incident occurred on the final lap at Interlagos, where the Brazilian driver was battling Williams’ Alex Albon for tenth place.
