Today, we will discover the second finalist of the FA Cup. At the legendary Wembley Stadium, a modest club from the middle of the Championship table will face the once-great Manchester United.

For Coventry City, reaching the FA Cup final would already be an incredible achievement. The Sky Blues have previously won this trophy, but that was back in the last century. Apart from the 1986/87 season, they have never reached the final of this tournament. Even reaching the semifinals is their greatest achievement since then.

Manchester United, of course, boasts a much greater history in the FA Cup. The Red Devils have won this trophy twelve times and are second only to Arsenal, who have fourteen victories in their history.

Before the match, Coventry City's head coach Mark Robins said:

"I'm excited. It's a brilliant opportunity for everyone. There's a lot of buzz around the city, and it's the first time since 1987 that we've reached the semifinals.

"We have experience playing at Wembley, with varying degrees of success, but apart from last year, it's been very positive. We're looking forward to this weekend".

Coventry City will be missing three players ahead of the match, all in midfield and all key members of the starting lineup. Jamie Allen and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto continue to recover from injuries sustained in February, while Casey Palmer will miss this match due to accumulation of yellow cards.

Manchester United, on the other hand, approaches this match with a significant number of absences. Rafael Varane, Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelöf, Luke Shaw, and other key players are still sidelined. Before the match, Manchester United's head coach Erik ten Hag said:

"We've only had a full squad once, in the match against Manchester City last season, at home. That was the only time I could select players. In all other games, there's always been an injury aspect to deal with. Yes, it's normal in football, but not as much as we've had.

"And I know that when you have so many injuries, especially in key positions, you can't achieve the results you want. Yes, it's bad, but that's the truth".

The Dutch coach will once again face the difficult task of selecting the starting lineup. But rest assured, both coaches will deploy their best players to achieve the best result in the match.
