Cooperation to continue: Real Madrid reach agreement over new contract for defender
The latest La Liga season has come to an end, and immediately after its conclusion, Real Madrid moved to secure the future of one of their key players with a new contract.
Details: According to information from Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Antonio Rüdiger have reached a full agreement over a contract extension. The new deal will run until the summer of 2027. Rüdiger has accepted the offer, and the contract is expected to be officially signed in the near future.
Rüdiger joined the Madrid giants as a free agent on June 2, 2022, signing a four-year contract after departing Chelsea FC.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old French central midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has also addressed his future at Real Madrid amid growing speculation over a possible summer exit.
As a reminder: Los Blancos may still have to pay significant compensation, with negotiations between Real Madrid and SL Benfica currently at a deadlock.
