Contract length of new Orlando Pirates head coach revealed

José Riveiro has parted ways with Orlando Pirates, but the club wasted no time in naming his successor, officially appointing Abdeslam Ouaddou. The duration of his contract has now been confirmed.
Details: According to Siya sources, the new coach has signed a deal running until June 30, 2028. This appears to be standard practice for the club — previous managers like José Riveiro, Micho (Milutin Sredojević), and Ruud Krol all signed similar long-term contracts.
The length of the deal suggests a long-term vision for Ouaddou, despite his relatively limited experience in senior management.
It’s also been confirmed that Ouaddou will be joined by Mandla Ncikazi, Ryan Jacobs, Helmi Gueldich, and Tyron Damons. The group is expected to arrive in South Africa later this week, with preseason preparations set to begin on June 27.
Reminder: Prior to this role, Ouaddou coached Marumo Gallants. Under his guidance, the team played 12 matches, recording five wins, four draws, and three defeats. He also led them to the semifinals of the Nedbank Cup, where they narrowly lost to the Pirates — 0–1.
