Conor McGregor’s plans for massive six-bedroom mansion face collapse
Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor is encountering obstacles in his plans to build a luxurious six-bedroom home, reports The Sun. The local council has refused permission, citing issues with wastewater disposal.
McGregor planned to construct the grand house in Straffan, County Kildare, featuring a basement with a sauna, jacuzzi, cinema room, indoor pool, and gym. The property would also include an outdoor parking area, bar, and games room.
In 2021, the council granted McGregor permission for a partial demolition and expansion of the existing house. However, McGregor later opted to demolish the structure entirely and build anew.
The council objected to this updated plan, as the proposed mansion would span 3,073 square meters compared to the current 605 square meters. Additionally, they deemed the site unsuitable for the proposed wastewater treatment system.
McGregor now has until January to submit further information addressing the wastewater concerns. If he fails to comply, the application will be withdrawn, leaving his partially demolished property in limbo.
